The hotel is a beautifully restored country house sitting in 500 acres of countryside beside the River Liffey and rated 5 star by the AA, RAC and Fáilte Ireland.
No two bedrooms at the K Club are alike, which is probably of little concern if you are only staying in one of them, but all are luxurious and tastefully decorated. All have a private bathroom, direct dial telephone, satellite television and video, welcoming fruits and chocolates, maid service morning and evening, slippers, bathrobe and 24-hour valet service. Rooms look over either the gardens and river or the golf course.
A separate building of suites, with one or two bedrooms, living/dining room and kitchen is connected to the main house by a covered walkway.
In addition to golf there is fly fishing on the Liffey, coarse fishing, clay pigeon and horse riding. The Health and Beauty Centre offers a swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym plus massage, aromatherapy and all those mysterious treatments (to men anyway) to remove, conceal or enhance.
The hotel's Byerley Turk restaurant is one of the best in Ireland. |
